I find it sad that in the field of deaf education, there are groups and subgroups. Even within the "different" group of children with hearing loss, there are deaf children, Deaf children, signing children, speaking children, children who use hearing aids, children who use Cochlear Implants, children who sign and speak, children who don't use any amplification and some who do all of the above. Who decides what is right and what is "different?"
It seems to me that if we really all look at ourselves and the person sitting next to us on the bus, at the job, in our home, in our same room, we are different. There is noone perfectly the same-even twins have something different with each other.
Be proud of who you are and shine on! Just saying:)
