Allison Schley is a Wisconsin Sound Beginnings’ Birth to Three Consultant and a Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. Mrs. Schley earned her B.A. in Elementary Education degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Masters of Education in Deaf Education from University of Minnesota-Mpls. During her 20 year career, she has serviced children ages 0-21. Mrs. Schley is fluent in American Sign Language, as well as experienced in teaching children who choose Listening and Spoken Language. She collaborates with speech pathologists, Deaf Mentors, interpreters, C-print captionists, OTs and PTs. She works with many children who use Cochlear Implants or ASL , provides Auditory Training, and inservices teachers, staff and parents of children with hearing loss. Mrs. Schley has participated in trainings for Auditory Verbal Therapy, attends annual Professional Conference for Teachers of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children, is the Soundfield Coordinator in her school district, works with and troubleshoots FM systems, and is a Capturing Kids’ Hearts’ Champion. Mrs. Schley’s motto is to treat each child as an individual and respect family choice. Mrs. Schley is here to educate parents, share resources, embrace children’s learning styles, help children reach their potential and teach the hearing community about hearing loss. Her goal is to be a partner on your journey.
